La Ermita de Santa Bárbara is a single vineyard of old bush vines of Garnacha, ‘Historic Garnacha’, next to the Virgin of Santa Barbara Hermitage in the municipality of Tabuenca, D.O. Campo de Borja. Old vines grapes have more concentrated flavors and aromas than young vines. Fermented this wine very delicately with very gentle extraction to add finesse and delicate red fruit. We treat it like it were grand cru.
 
Defined by its exemplary freshness and balance, the nose combines ripe berries and baking spices with subtle hints of smoke and damp earth. The palate is full-bodied, juicy, and generous, delivering a voluptuous texture that culminates in a sustained, slightly warming finish.
