Old vines of 100 years old. Post-Fermentation: This is followed by an extended maceration period in small tanks to build structure and texture. Ageing: for approximately 15 months in used oak barrels.
The nose offers good intensity with fresh, balsamic aromas reminiscent of pine, cedar, and licorice. The dark fruit profile is fresh, not overripe, showing notes of blackberry, cassis, raspberry, and black plums. Subtle barrel influence contributes sweet and spicy notes that integrate beautifully, promising good evolution in the glass. On the palate is friendly and satiny, followed by a structure that is lively and well-defined through the mid-palate. Excellent acidity and a touch of bitterness work together to round out the flavor, making the wine incredibly pleasant and inviting to drink.
